Frequently Asked Questions
A: No, if the practitioner is trained properly you should feel little to no pain. When the speculum is inserted (you insert the speculum yourself we just help it guide it in) it will feel like you are pooping backwards. The speculum feels like a piece of a turd hanging half in and half out.
A. During your phone consultation, I will ask many questions to make sure that there are no contraindications. I will recommend a possible protocol prior to your treatment, which will ensure a mild and easy detoxification.
A. Typically, if you are not on a cleanse already, you should take an herbal laxative. You should also eat light 2 or 3 days prior to your visit. I suggest No Red Meat, No White Bread, No Sugary Foods Candy etc. Grilled Fish or Chicken and salads are great for a light meal.
A. Not at all. It’s like making a great bowel movement and going about your business. In other words, you can drive, go back to work, etc. However, for anyone fasting I suggest going home to rest afterwards. Your body will feel tired and sluggish following the procedure. (see following your colonic)
A. You may lose some weight. Most people feel lighter after a colonic. Just bear in mind that you lose waste only, not fat or cellulite.
A. Absolutely, during that time of the month your body is already in the process of detoxing. So, it is actually a great time to get a colonic.
A. Absolutely. We suggest soups, broths, juices, salads, fruits, and/or veggies. Just eat a moderate amount of whatever seems gentle and nourishing to you. Remember, it does not make sense to wash your car and then drive it through mud, neither does eating a fattening meal following a colonic.
